Used widely in broadcasting operations including ENG/EFP, BETACAM SP provides better performance than 1-inch VTR tape, in spite of its light, compact cassette-type design. Maxell BETACAM SP videocassettes with exclusive Ceramic Armor Metal Particles and other advanced tape technologies realize high reliability and image quality.

Low DropoutMaxell’s dust-free production facility and strict quality control, plus the tape’s highly conductive backcoating and static-resistant cassette mechanism minimize dropout. The hard case provides excellent protection from dust and exceptional support during transportation and storage.

High Reliability and Durability A 2-3nm-thick layer of Ceramic Armor Metal Particles provides superior physical strength and anti-oxidation characteristics, and a high-performance three-dimensional cross-linking binder system dramatically improves magnetic coating layer strength. This helps keep the tape highly reliable and durable in extreme conditions (ENG/EFP) and editing operations in which long-term still modes are frequently used.

Superior Image and Sound Quality BETACAM SP is often used for editing in which high image and sound quality are in demand. Employing fine Ceramic Armor Metal Particles for high output throughout a wide frequency range including its high frequencies, Maxell BETACAM SP videotapes provide quality and performance suitable for master tapes.
